“The big cartridge-printer companies might try to invalidate what we’re doing within the consumable inkjet and laser toner markets. We’ve got the plan, the fortune 100 management and the factory direct resources within our supply chain to create this national business. ” states Gregory Bodenhamer during a recent interview. “The customer, that forgotten human being that has been forced to buy exclusive and expensive inkjet and toner cartridges are about to get even” “It remains a very costly start up considering inventory levels, opening retail stores, marketing and advertising in these tough economic times” “Its never too late or too expensive to invent the better idea company”

“What is the most important element of the business idea Greg?”
“We’re getting really big by being really small” Greg says with his characteristic smile. “Our tiny little company (new deal ink and toner company Mechanicsburg pa) has the assurance of great customers and they have our pledge of the absolute best value and quality they can afford.”
“Our trait is small not like the other companies in the market. When you look at Office Depot, Staples, Office Max, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Walgreens, and even the struggling Cartridge World you see them opening their feature stores that are too big and too expensive for the customer to support.” “They’re trying to get small but they most likely have long term contracts and leases and their most important image and advertising budgets that customers are forced to pay for, over and over again.”
“They insist on opening in high priced and high traffic areas which keeps their retail prices very high. Mostly they’re locked into long term high costs, problems and unfortunate results. Our solution, the best method, is to assure our property is clean, safe and simple to keep our product price meager and well below the national averages.” “Our little company, just in the last 60 days has opened new retail locations in Mechanicsburg Pa, Duncannon Pa, Halifax Pa, Hershey Pa, Elizabethtown Pa and Middletown Pa and three more on the books for this month alone.”
“Keeping our costs really low, offering great products and prices, full guarantees and warranty and staying really small acting is the big business idea.”
“How can you open stores in the bad economy?”
“We’re opening almost an instant profit center.” “The inkjet and laser toner customer was very needy for a new deal.” “We promote and publicize our New Deal Ink and Toner Products by marketing, at times shouting from the rooftops our promises.” “The inventory is costly, expensive to move around within the supply chain and offer up for sale but, almost every cartridge produces income for our dealerships from day one.” “One new store hung up his sign out front and in less than 90 minutes sold his very first inkjet printer cartridge, at a profit.”
“We do not allow millions of dollars in inventory to sit idle and not placed for sale within a warehouse or one of our retailer dealership stores. Lazy inventory is not allowed. It’s purchased at our central facility, transported and quickly distributed to the action point of sale. “

“The big retailer and their distribution divisions sit on hundreds of millions of dollars of inventory that they have to guard, insure, manage, count and dust off. While they’re doing all that with expensive people we’re selling ink to the public.”
“We’re not a rest stop for ink or toner. We open dealerships and they quickly earn a profit.”
“Tell us what you think of the refill or refiller segment of the business?”
“They’re people too but they’re on the wrong track. It’s a great idea but it’s not the right deal or a good deal for the consumer” “Putting cheap ink in a dog-eared inkjet or laser toner cartridge is not a value.”
“You can simply fill them up for $10.00 but you cannot guarantee quality printing or printing satisfaction” “Our research shows that refill companies, do not remanufacture, they simply pump ink into a cartridge with young people and take your money” “I’m afraid that the refill segment has a very poor reputation and standing with inkjet and laser toner customers that they deserve”
“They are refillers all across the country and if you keep your eyes open you can see their buildings vacant in neighborhoods.” “Spending fifty thousand to two hundred thousand dollars to put ink into a cartridge for ten dollars retail just simply doesn’t work.” “New Deal Ink and Toner can put a new compatible cartridge in your hand for less money and make you smile at the same time.”
“How many stores are you going to open?”
“It’s a difficult answer but a simple question. We will expand into New York and Michigan, Georgia and Florida markets in the next couple of months.” “We’ve turned down some opportunities in New Jersey, Maryland and other places for the time being.” “It’s really a matter of inventory management, cash flow and our management team.” “Opening a hundred stores a year is close to the mark.”

It’s a shifting market and the cartridge world is about to change forever states Gregory Bodenhamer of the New Deal Ink and Toner Company. Dorothy Parker Ph.D. Nollijy University Research Journalist.
